Yesterday, Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen had a hearing in Utah’s Third District Court. It was regarding a temporary protective order that Dakota filed against Taylor last month. Following his alleged domestic abuse claim, Dakota received temporary custody of their son. So, Taylor filed a counter-protective order this week against Dakota, and following their hearing, his lawyer spoke out. As this attorney said, Taylor used her day in court to “assassinate” Dakota’s “character as a dad.”

According to PEOPLE magazine, the judge admitted to having “concerns both ways.” Yet, they ruled in favor of Dakota, granting him continued custody of their son, Ever. Meanwhile, Taylor received supervised visits. This arrangement will stay in place until a second hearing on April 30.
After their hearing, Dakota’s attorney, Joel Kittrell, slammed Taylor’s alleged behaviors in the courtroom. As he explained, “Today’s hearing was used by the respondent to assassinate Dakota’s character as a dad, whose only concern is for the welfare of his son, Ever. We look forward to the 30th to tell the true story.”
Within this same hearing, Taylor and Dakota will also learn whether or not criminal charges will be pursued against one or both of them moving forward. To recall, both parties have made serious domestic abuse claims against the other.

In light of these extremely serious charges and allegations, production reportedly made the call to pause filming on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 5. When they pick back up, Taylor might have a rough go, since, rumor has it, many of her costars no longer feel comfortable filming with her anymore.
