Sabrina Impacciatore isn't above getting a little starstruck — especially when it's Al Pacino.
The White Lotus star, 58, caught up with PEOPLE at the premiere of her new film Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass on June 10, aspart of the Tribeca Film Festival. The forthcoming film follows Zoey Deutch as the titular character as she pursues Jon Hamm (as himself) — the celebrity she dubbed her "free pass" before her wedding.
Feeling starstruck is a central theme to the raunchy comedy film, and Impacciatore — who plays the villainous organized crime leader Ludovica who crosses paths with Gail — can relate. She once happened upon Al Pacino, and it wasn't long before she expressed her admiration face-to-face with him.

"When I met Al Pacino, I was in a restaurant," she recalls. "He was sitting next to me and my friend, she said, 'Sabrina, don't make a scene, stay still. There could be bodyguards around.' And I resisted the entire evening."
When the friend was off paying for their meal, Impacciatore said she literally fell to her knees as she addressed Pacino. "I promise," she adds.
"And I told him, 'Maestro, thank you for all the beauty that you give to my life and everything.' And so I started to talk to him," she says, "and you know, what he did [was] the greatest: he went down on his knees and he hugged me."

"And we were in the middle of the restaurant on our knees, hugging each other. It was incredible," Impacciatore continues.
But what's "more incredible," she said, was that the moment came full circle at the premiere of Gail Daughtry, as she and Pacino — now costars in In the Hand of Dante — later shared the stage at the festival for a Q&A session.
In the Hand of Dante stars Oscar Isaac as author Nick Tosches as he embarks to authenticate a manuscript, believed to be Dante's original of The Divine Comedy. The stacked cast also features Gal Gadot, Gerard Butler, Martin Scorsese, Jason Momoa and John Malkovich.
The film, which initially premiered in September 2025 at the Venice Film Festival, is set to debut on Netflix on June 24 following a limited theatrical release on June 12.
Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass is in theaters July 10.
