Roman Reigns Called Out by LA Knight on WWE RAW: ‘You’re Not on My Level’

Roman Reigns was looking forward to celebrating his big SummerSlam win on WWE RAW, but LA Knight changed his mood.

The August 3 episode of RAW featured the OTC speaking to the crowd after successfully defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. Reigns talked about everything he had achieved this year before giving the fans a chance to acknowledge Rollins by singing his entrance song.

That celebration did not last long.

Roman Reigns rejects LA Knight’s World Heavyweight Championship challenge

LA Knight came out and congratulated Reigns on beating Rollins. However, he immediately mentioned that the champion has been avoiding a one-on-one match with him. Knight reminded Reigns that he has been asking for a match against him for months.

Knight said that Reigns has avoided giving him a straight answer and instead sent members of his family to deal with him. After Knight managed to get past those challenges, he said Reigns now owes him the championship match he has been asking for.

LA Knight then made it clear that he wanted the same kind of opportunity Reigns had just received against Rollins. He said they could wrestle that night, the following week, at Money in the Bank or even at WrestleMania. Knight didn’t care when the match happened.

However, the OTC wasn’t interested. He mocked Knight’s “Megastar” nickname and even took a shot at the watch he was wearing. He then questioned what Knight had actually done to deserve a World Heavyweight Championship match.

Roman Reigns argued that beating his cousins in a six-man tag team match wasn’t enough to earn a title opportunity. He pointed out that Knight hadn’t won a tournament, battle royal, or major singles match that would put him ahead of everyone else waiting for a shot.

The World Heavyweight Champion told Knight that complaining wasn’t going to get him a title match. Instead, he told him to get to the “back of the line.”

As Reigns started walking away, Knight called him back and had a few more things to say.

Knight joked that Reigns needed him and “38 more people” to beat him. He also accused the OTC of using numbers and surprise attacks to get the better of his opponents. Knight even mocked The Shield’s famous entrance music while taking another shot at Reigns for hiding behind other people.

Knight then stated that Reigns was not on his level.

“You’re on another level because you hold that title. But don’t get lost in the sauce brother brother, you’re not on my level, pal,” Knight said.

He then turned his attention back to himself, calling himself “lightning in a bottle” and claiming to be everything Reigns wished he could be.

Knight ended his promo by warning that he would knock Reigns back to his “factory settings” before calling himself the uncrowned champion of the world. Reigns ultimately walked away without accepting Knight’s challenge.
