Rihanna's Bedazzled Carnival Outfit Is Her Biggest Fashion Look Yet

Rihanna needs to take a bow for this masterpiece.
The 38-year-old (born Robyn Rihanna Fenty) returned home to Barbados to celebrate Carnival, the country's annual seasonal festival, in a showstopping look.
For the Grand Kadooment Day parade Aug. 3—the final party of the month-long extravaganza which historically marked the end of summer harvest—Rihanna sparkled in a super-sized piece decked out in head-to-toe peacock-colored gems and feathers. She completed the look with hot pink booties, seamlessly bringing a little comfort to the over-the-top ensemble.
And it's far from the first time the "Umbrella" singer has dazzled the streets of Bridgetown, as throwback photos of her as a teen have shown. Rihanna has kept up the tradition after becoming the household name fans know today, rocking many styles over the years to Carnival, from all white to giant pink showgirl feathers to a turquoise wig.

Aside from marching in the outdoor festivities, Rihanna kicked off August with another special celebration on the island. Namely, a Spider-Man-themed birthday party for son Riot Rose Mayers, who she shares with partner A$AP Rocky along with son RZA Athelston Mayers, 4, and daughter Rocki Irish Mayers, 11 months.
Throwing the superhero bash for Riot—who turned 3 years old on Aug. 1—is all a part of being a boy mom, a title the makeup founder is proud of.
"It makes me feel really cool to be a boy mom," Rihanna told E! News in 2024 before welcoming her daughter in 2025. "Like I get to be as casual and busted as I want to, but it also forces me to embrace the epic things about being a woman, and a female and all my femininity. I embrace it so much more now, like I wear pink."

The ANTI singer said that element of "being a partner with Rocky and running the household" made her feel empowered amid what was "new territory" at the time.
