Robert F. Kennedy Jr. surprised viewers with an unusually candid confession while discussing food. The health secretary then abruptly stopped himself after hinting at stranger stories he chose not to tell.

RFK Jr. abruptly cuts off his answer when pressed on his strangest eating experiences

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has spent months urging Americans to rethink their diets through his “Make America Healthy Again” campaign. But while promoting his new cooking show, he admitted his own eating habits are far less predictable.

Asked about unusual foods he has tried, Kennedy laughed and replied, “I will literally eat anything.” He doubled down by saying he has “no gag reflex” and enjoys testing foods that many people would avoid.

Rather than listing gourmet meals, Kennedy described himself as someone who embraces culinary adventures almost anywhere. “I love experimenting with foods,” he said, adding that he enjoys trying local dishes while traveling and will even buy food from “street vendors.”

However, when USA Today’s Swapna Venugopal Ramaswamy asked which foods others might consider disgusting, the conversation suddenly took a turn. Kennedy smiled, glanced off-camera, and answered, “Yeah, I’m getting a signal not to answer that question,” cutting the moment short before offering any examples.

The exchange stood out because Kennedy has made nutrition a central part of his public message. He recently unveiled federal dietary guidance and declared that the government was effectively declaring “war on added sugar.”

He argued that heavily processed foods packed with additives, excess salt and sugar should be avoided, urging Americans to simply “eat real food.” Kennedy has also acknowledged that he could never fully commit to veganism because of what he described as an “atavistic craving for protein.”

Kennedy has also admitted that not everyone around him has embraced his nutritional philosophy. He previously said he failed to persuade President Donald Trump to give up Diet Coke and McDonald’s despite once calling that menu “just poison.”
