The late Queen Elizabeth II was left "furious" and "devastated" by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the years before her death, according to royal experts.
When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior working royals, the Queen made clear that their desired arrangement of being "half-in, half-out" was unacceptable to her.
Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield has now claimed the Sussexes have been trying to pursue this approach since Queen Elizabeth's passing, criticizing the pair for consistently showing disrespect toward the late monarch. It comes as another expert warned Harry and Meghan caused "serious damage" by leaving the Royal Family.

During an appearance on TalkTV with Kevin O'Sullivan, Kinsey stated, "When it comes to Harry's pursuit of the half in half out, I think that that is desperately what he wants. I haven't seen anyone else or any other couple try to put words or change history when it comes to Queen Elizabeth more than Harry and Meghan.
"They put words in this deceased woman's mouth. Harry speaks about her in a way that I find completely disrespectful considering the fact that she's gone and she isn't here to defend herself or say that's not true."

Kinsey revealed that the late Queen was reportedly unhappy when Harry and Meghan chose to name their daughter Lilibet after her in 2021, reports the Express.

She added, "They threatened to sue the BBC over the Lilibet drama and they had to back down because the palace and the Queen so forcefully said, 'Actually, no. You did not get our permission to name your child Lilibet.'
"Harry and Meghan continue to put words in this woman's mouth and continue to try to say that they had a relationship with Queen Elizabeth that they simply didn't have."
Kinsey went on to say, "At the end of the day, she made it clear to us she did not want these people half in, half out. And it should be period, end of story. They can't keep trying to change history!"

Kevin concurred, shedding light on why the late monarch harbored such profound distress and anger toward Harry and Meghan in her final years.
He stated, "We now know that the Queen spent the last couple of years of her life variously in a state of being really upset and or furious with the gruesome twosome, particularly over her childhood nickname Lilibet.
"She was known to say, 'I don't actually own all that much. Being the queen means you inherit a lot of property and great works of art, but they're effectively the states. They're not mine.'
"She said, 'I haven't got much. I've got my childhood name and they just stole it from me.' She was furious and devastated about that."
