- Meghan McCain has once again slammed her former workplace.
- The daughter of Sen. John McCain bashed* The View* cohosts over their JD Vance interview.
- McCain called her ex-colleagues 's‑‑‑‑y and undisciplined' during the on-air discussion.
Former *The View* cohost Meghan McCain, who previously maintained that she doesn't talk about her prior workplace, has once again weighed in on the show's latest development.
After the ABC talk show welcomed Vice President JD Vance to the Hot Topics table Tuesday for a somewhat tense interview about current events and his new book, McCain, who left *The View* in 2021, slammed her former colleagues for their conduct during the conversation.
"My biggest takeaway from Vance on *The View* is honestly how s‑‑‑‑y and undisciplined the hosts STILL ARE," McCain wrote on social media.
Appearing to reference a heated moment when moderator Whoopi Goldberg snapped and scolded Ana Navarro on the air, McCain continued: "After all these years they still get basics facts wrong, flub easy questions and can't get through a segment without yelling at each other."
Goldberg grew visibly frustrated with Navarro during the interview earlier in the day, cutting her off as Navarro attempted to ask a follow up after Goldberg tried to throw the show to a commercial break.****"Vance handled it all very well," McCain said in her social media post. Vance smiled while Goldberg yelled at Navarro, and attempted to joke around with the cohosts earlier in the interview — including quipping at the top of the show that his press team told him that the traditionally left-leaning panel of cohosts actually comprised a roster of MAGA Republicans.

Meghan McCain slams Jimmy Kimmel as 'mean, heartless bastard,' wants him 'off air'

Still, Vance deflected several hard-hitting questions and offered questionable explanations for some of President Donald Trump's recent remarks about the economy. Vance also claimed that "I'm telling you, we celebrate Black history, we celebrate all American history in this administration. You guys might be skeptical of this, but I'm telling you it's true," after Goldberg asked him about the administration.
Among other things, in January 2025, Trump's Defense Department issued guidance that declared "identity months dead" with regard to things like Black History Month, according to the Associated Press.
McCain has long spoken out against her former cohosts at *The View*, after she left the program in the wake of a wild on-air clash with Joy Behar when McCain returned from an extended break on maternity leave.

She also regularly fought with other panelists on the air, enough so that current star Sara Haines suggested — though she didn't name her outright — that a former cohost made everyone on set "uncomfortable," which many interpreted to be McCain.

Even after her departure, McCain went in on Alyssa Farah Griffin, the conservative panelist who replaced her on the show in 2022.
"I'm gonna say something that’s a little nasty," McCain said on a recent episode of her* Citizen McCain* talk show. "The person they replaced me with is a joke. She is in no way representative of conservative women. It's been a wildly disappointing experience for me to see what legacy I helped do during the four years there while my dad battled brain cancer and I had not one, but two miscarriages while I worked there."
