Kelly Osbourne is keeping her late father, Ozzy Osbourne, close to her heart.
The 41-year-old stepped out for day one of the Royal Ascot in Berkshire, England, wearing an ensemble that, in part, paid tribute to the Black Sabbath rocker, who died on July 22, 2025, at age 76. He died of "out of hospital cardiac arrest" and "acute myocardial infarction," with coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease with autonomic dysfunction listed as "joint causes."
Speaking with press at the June 16 event, Kelly revealed that her black bat-shaped fascinator was a tribute to Ozzy, who became associated with the motif after he bit the head off a live bat that a fan threw on stage during a 1982 gig in Des Moines, Iowa.
In a video shared to social media, Kelly also revealed she stole her mom's purse to have an accessory that complemented her black dress.

Ozzy knew his antics would stick with fans after his passing. In an interview with PEOPLE three years before his death, he said, "I know when I eventually do leave this place, it's going to be, 'Ah, the man who bit the head off the bat — he joined the bat today.'"
He continued: "I mean, I've achieved quite a lot in my life, but all people do is go, 'Ozzy, what do bats really taste like? Was it dead?' But I'll tell you what, when they gave me the rabies shot, I wasn't smiling."

At Ozzy's funeral procession, held in the city of Birmingham, England, on July 30, 2025, Sharon Osbourne, who was married to the Prince of Darkness for 43 years, appeared to be wearing a gold diamond ring around her neck, which fans believed to be his wedding ring from their 2017 vow renewal.
That day, Kelly also appeared to be wearing a pair of purple-tinted circular sunglasses, similar to the Black Sabbath vocalist's signature style.
Son Jack Osbourne, 40, was also photographed sporting a Black Sabbath T-shirt one day after Ozzy's death.

Earlier this year, Kelly reflected on the "sadness" of losing her father. On her Instagram Stories, she wrote, "You think life is hard? Wait until you can't call your dad anymore."
She then added a quote from Robin Williams that read: "I think people who have been through the most sadness are the ones who try hardest to make others happy. Because they know in their flesh what it's like to feel empty and depressed, and they don't want anyone else to feel that way."
On Feb. 23, Kelly and Sharon, 73, accepted a lifetime achievement award on behalf of Ozzy. "He may not be here, but he left us one amazing body of work that will never be forgotten by the country that made him," said Sharon.
