If you’re a fan of pistachio nut butter, you might want to check your jar before preparing your next snack. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a report warning that some pistachio nut butter sold at Walmart has been recalled over salmonella contamination concerns.

According to the FDA, the affected pistachio nut butter was marketed under the label bettergoods, and imported by the New York-based Boticelli Foods after being manufactured by Gustibus Alimentari Srl of Assoro, Italy. The recall was initiated after the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) tested jars of the product during a routine inspection and found salmonella. The recalled lot was sold exclusively at Walmart stores in 19 states: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington, and Wyoming.

While no illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with the recalled nut butter as of yet, salmonella can cause gastrointestinal symptoms and fever. In some cases, it can cause severe illness and can even be fatal, according to the FDA.
