On Monday night, after departing Chicago, the 54-year-old actor began to feel sick, prompting an onboard doctor to attend to him. Per TMZ, Feldman was subsequently greeted by paramedics when the plane touched down at LAX Airport. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors ruled out gallstones as a cause.
Hours prior to the incident, Feldman participated in *Stand by Me Live*, an event that saw him reunite with former costars Jerry O'Connell and Wil Wheaton to reflect on the 1986 coming-of-age film directed by Rob Reiner. On June 13, the trio were in Indianapolis, followed by Chicago on June 14.
Celebrating the pair of shows with a Saturday Instagram post, Feldman hinted that there was "good news" around the corner for fans of the film, writing that because of the "incredible turnout" and ticket sales for the shows, "chances r very high" that the trio will announce additional dates.
Now that he's on the mend, the entertainer is also looking forward to the June 22 release of his new single, "What Am I Here 4," and a pair of live performances in Southern California on July 25 and 26.

Feldman's reunion with O'Connell and Wheaton came mere months after he reflected to EW about how it felt to be excluded from the 2026 Oscars tribute to *Stand by Me*'s late director. The touching awards ceremony moment celebrated Reiner's career after he and his wife, Michele, were murdered in December 2025, allegedly by their son Nick. Seventeen actors from Reiner's projects stood onstage to honor the filmmaker, including O'Connell and Wheaton.
"I think Jerry and Wil did what had to be done," Feldman said days later. "It was a fleeting moment, so I don't feel like I missed much at all."

He added, "I personally was probably maybe a little bothered by the fact that nobody got to speak or do or say anything from their own heart. Although they did a wonderful job, I would've liked to have heard from Wil and Jerry and a few other people up there."
