Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko are teasing a few new details about their upcoming wedding
The former Bachelorette shared that she and her fiancé are currently in the "trenches" of wedding planning
She also added that the couple is focused on meaningful details and coordinating elements for their wedding weekend celebrations
Charity Lawson and her fiancé, Dotun Olubeko, are in the midst of planning their upcoming wedding!
The Bachelorette stars attended The Knot's 30th Anniversary Gala in New York City on Tuesday, June 2 and were asked by the outlet if they could tease anything about their future nuptials.
"I can tease that it's happening this year," Lawson began. "The wait is finally over for a lot of you guys, yes. We are in the trenches in wedding planning."
"Our DJ is…it's gonna be insane," Olubeko chimed in. "That Swag Surfin'."
Lawson added that she'd love to hear "WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!" by HYPATON and Raye when she walks in during her wedding.
"Overall vibe is very much gonna scream Charity and Dotun, if you know us. Very intimate, very intentional," the bride-to-be explained. "It's not all about all the glitz and the glam, even though there will be that. But you know, it's more about the intentionality behind it."

"I'll say one word. True. I know that she's very good with like interior designing. It's fun to see it come to life," said Dotun.
"He is someone that handles stress very well," said Lawson of her fiancé. "I can come to him for when I need help with things and he's just like, 'I'll take care of it.'"
Back in 2025, Lawson opened up about her and Olubeko's easy-going approach to wedding planning.
"We're just not in a significant rush because ... the last few months have been just a lot in terms of figuring out logistics for us," she told PEOPLE at the time. "So we're just taking it day by day. We want it to be super meaningful, and I think that's really important, especially with how we met."
This past January, Lawson shared that she and Olubeko are planning on coordinating some of their outfits during their wedding weekend.
"I'm having at least three outfit changes," Lawson told PEOPLE. So far, she's envisioning a "timeless and traditional" look for the ceremony and then going "completely opposite" with a "very romantic, flirty, festive and high-glam" fashion moment for the reception.
She also shared that she plans to coordinate with Olubeko for a cultural homage to his heritage. "Me and Dotun are going to do be doing a traditional look when we're announced as a couple," she teased of their outfits, which are "coming straight from Nigeria."
