Brian Callahan interviewed for Giants' OC job before taking different role
New York Giants quarterbacks coach Brian Callahan revealed on Wednesday that he interviewed for the team's offensive coordinator position.
It was reported that the Giants considered Callahan as their offensive coordinator earlier in the offseason, but no formal interview was ever revealed.
Callahan ultimately lost the job to Matt Nagy, but the former Tennessee Titans head coach confirmed he interviewed for the role. Both Nagy and Callahan were strong candidates, and the Giants added each to their staff after interviewing them.

Callahan's interest in the Giants remained undiminished after the team named Nagy as offensive coordinator. He was subsequently hired as the quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator, and the former head coach is expected to play a critical role on New York's staff moving forward.
Callahan could quickly position himself for another head coaching opportunity elsewhere after a promising season under Harbaugh's regime. The talented play-caller served as the Titans' head coach for just under two seasons and will undoubtedly have a direct impact on the Giants' success this year.
