Oh, Mary! has broken box office records 14 times, including during Rudolph's first week in the role

Laughs were had onstage and off at Broadway's Oh, Mary! this week.

After Maya Rudolph's performance on Tuesday, June 9, the Saturday Night Live comedian and Emmy-winning actress was visited backstage by three of her friends and former costars: Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones and Emma Stone.

The stars all posed for photos together backstage, Poehler, 54, and Jones, 50, taking group shots with Rudolph, 53, and Stone, 37, joining them alongside the rest of the Oh, Mary! cast (including Martin Landry, Cheyenne Jackson, Bianca Leigh and Phillip James Brannon).

Poehler and Jones even took their support to the next level by wearing T-shirts with Rudolph's face on them, purchased at the theater's merchandise stand.

All have long been part of the same extended creative comedy circle, established during Poehler and Rudolph's years on SNL.

The two have remained close friends ever since, teaming up on projects like Sisters (2015) and Wine Country (2019). They also lent their voices to Pixar's Inside Out franchise. Poehler and Jones famously worked together on Parks & Recreation, too.

Oh, Mary! officially opened on Broadway on July 11, 2024 at the historic Lyceum Theatre.

Written by Cole Escola and directed by Sam Pinkleton, the play is an outrageous reimagining of Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln's assassination, portraying the First Lady as a miserable, hard-drinking woman who dreams of escaping the White House to pursue her true passion: becoming a cabaret star.

Rudolph is making her Broadway debut in Oh, Mary! She joined the production as Mary Todd Lincoln on April 28 for a limited engagement that has since been extended through July 5.

Her performance has been embraced by fans and critics alike, and has made Oh, Mary! one of the hottest tickets in town again.

Not that Oh, Mary! needs it. Throughout its run, the production has become a box office phenomenon, shattering house records 14 times — two of them coming during Rudolph's very first week in the role, when the show grossed $199,935 for a single performance on Friday, May 1 — setting a new house record — before bringing in $1,540,979.58 for the week ending May 3, another all-time high for both the production and the Lyceum Theatre.

Speaking of records, this is a record year on Broadway for SNL vets. Ana Gasteyer and Rachel Dratch both received 2026 Tony nominations for their respective roles in Schmigadoon! and The Rocky Horror Show.

Earlier this season, All Out: Comedy About Ambition featured Beck Bennett, Heidi Gardner, Sarah Silverman, Jenny Slate and Cecily Strong. Currently, Molly Shannon, Kenan Thompson, Bobby Moynihan, Chloe Fineman, Cheri Oteri and Will Forte are part of the rotating cast of Celebrity Autobiography.

Oh, and Lorne Michaels is the lead producer on Schmigadoon, which won four 2026 Tonys including Best Musical.

"It's fun that we all happen to be doing it at the same time," Dratch previously told PEOPLE. "Ana and Maya and I are close friends too, so we're still waiting until we're not too tired to go out for drinks afterwards."

Tickets to Oh, Mary! are on sale now.
