Priscilla Presley’s first and only child with Elvis, Lisa Marie Presley, was born on February 1, 1968, nine months after they tied the knot.
Priscilla welcomed her second child with screenwriter Marco Garibaldi. Their son Navarone Garibaldi was born on March 1, 1987.
Lisa Marie Presley passed away on January 12, 2023, from a small bowel obstruction. She was 54.
While Priscilla Presley first became a household name because of her marriage to Elvis Presley, she’s much more than The King of Rock and Roll’s former partner.
Over the years, she’s transformed Graceland into a thriving business, dipped her toes into acting and producing, and become a bestselling author with her memoirs, Elvis and Me and Softly As I Leave You. Priscilla is also a proud mom and grandmother.
Her first and only child with Elvis, Lisa Marie Presley, was born on February 1, 1968, nine months after they tied the knot on May 1, 1967. Six years later, in 1973, Priscilla and Elvis went their separate ways. “I left Elvis because I needed a life of my own,” she wrote in her memoir, per Oprah Daily. “I was living his life. Just as Elvis was searching for the meaning of his life, I was searching for mine.” Four years after their split, in 1977, Elvis died of a presumed heart attack.
Over a decade after her divorce, Priscilla started dating screenwriter Marco Garibaldi. On March 1, 1987, they welcomed their son, Navarone Garibaldi. They split nearly two decades later in 2006.
In 2023, Lisa Marie died of a small bowel obstruction. She is survived by three of her four children, Riley, Harper, and Finley.

Priscilla and Elvis Presley’s only child, Lisa Marie Presley, was born on February 1, 1968.
Despite being only nine years old when her father died, Lisa Marie later followed his musical footsteps. After making her first musical appearance at age 29 in a virtual duet with her late father in honor of his 20th-anniversary tribute concert, Lisa Marie made her official music debut with her 2003 debut album, To Whom It May Concern. She later released two more albums, titled Now What in 2005 and Storm & Grace in 2012.
As for her personal life, Lisa Marie was married to fellow musician Danny Keough from 1988 to 1994. During their marriage, they welcomed two children: Daisy Jones & The Six actress Riley Keough, who was born on May 29, 1989, and son Benjamin Storm Keough, who was born on October 21, 1992.
In 2020, Benjamin died by suicide at just 27 years old. “Grief is something you will have to carry with you for the rest of your life, in spite of what certain people or our culture wants us to believe,” Lisa Marie once wrote in an essay for People two years after his passing. “You do not ‘get over it,’ you do not ‘move on,’ period.”

After Lisa Marie and her first husband split, she began a highly publicized relationship with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. The two were married from 1994 to 1996, famously kissing on stage at the 1994 MTV Video Music Awards.
Lisa Marie was briefly married to actor Nicolas Cage in 2002, though they split less than four months after the wedding. She found love again four years later, marrying Michael Lockwood in 2006. She and Lockwood welcomed twins, Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood and Finley Aaron Love Lockwood, on October 7, 2008. Presley and Lockwood parted ways in 2016, and their divorce was finalized in 2021.
In 2023, Lisa Marie returned to the spotlight for the promo tour for Baz Luhrmann’s movie Elvis, starring Austin Butler as her late father. The 2023 Golden Globe Awards, where Butler took home his first award, was Lisa Marie’s last public appearance.
On January 12, 2023, Lisa Marie suffered a small bowel obstruction and was rushed to the hospital. Before her mom Priscilla arrived at the hospital, Lisa Marie passed away. She was 54. “It was unbearable,” Priscilla said of the loss in an interview with TalkTV in November 2023, per People.“I lost my mother, I lost my grandson, and I lost my daughter. It’s still shocking that we don’t have her.”
At the time of her passing, Priscilla was the one who broke the news. “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla wrote. “She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers.”

Priscilla gave birth to her son, Navarone Garibaldi, on March 1, 1987. She and film producer Marco Garibaldi were together from 1984 until their split 22 years later, in 2006.
Much like the rest of his family, Navarone also pursued a music career, moving to Santa Cruz, California, at just 18 years old and forming his band, Them Guns. By 2012, he moved back to LA with his band in the hopes of making it big. “I thought, ‘OK, I’m going into the family business. I’ll write a song, and then we’ll start touring it,’” he told Peoplein a 2023 interview. “I didn’t realize it takes way more than that.”
Navarone struggled with substance abuse beginning in his teens. In 2020, he decided to get clean from heroine and fentanyl, in part so he could visit his now-wife, Elisa, in her home country of Switzerland. He leaned on his mother, spending a month at her house while he detoxed. “I was pretty much in my bed in the fetal position all day,” he told People in the aforementioned interview. “It feels like a different lifetime, almost. The whole world got a lot better [afterward].” In 2022, Navarone and Elisa tied the knot.

Another major moment in Navarone’s life was when he found out in 2017 that his father wasn’t Italian, but was of Brazilian origin instead. Though he goes by Garibaldi, his father’s last name was originally Garcia. Navarone said that when he called his father to confirm, his father told him, “Lose my number.” That was the last time they spoke.
Two weeks after learning the truth from a distant Brazilian family member, Navarone, who now uses both last names, flew to the South American country to meet them. “I lost one family member, but I gained 20-plus,” he told People. “I have zero regrets.”
